I met this fellow on Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis. It was a cold day, probably 20 degrees. I stopped to say hello. He let me take a few shots. I forgot to ask him his name before we parted ways. I feel bad calling him a lonely stranger but the mood of the photo with his hood up and the shadows lends itself to something a bit eerie.

Post Processing

Unfortunately the eyes weren't razor sharp and they need to be to make this shot, so I had to do some sharpening heroics.

Lightroom 2 - B&W, exposure, recovery, brightness, contrast, clarity, curves, sharpen, vignette

CS4 - lots of dodge & burn to emphasize contrast on the face, brighten the eyes, several rounds of sharpening, border, save for web

Nice vignetting to draw the focus on the eyes. It looks like there is some uneven smoothing or sharpening in the face(especially the cookie duster). Maybe its just me. 7
