The Image: I have shot here before and have ribboned here. I had this image in mind but not as a selective desaturation. When I tried a few edits, this came to mind. It was shot at around 12:56, the middle of the day, in RAW with f22 and the lowest ISO I could get at 1 second with a polariser.
The Edit: The basic stuff with a selective desat layer mask. I tweaked levels and colours. I cloned out a couple of minor power line thingys.
The Prediction: I am confident this might do OK. 6.8? But then it could end up at 5.5...who knows...my MOJO has eluded me in 2009.

just fantastic .. the selective desat works so well .. the people and the movement is even more exaggerated .. its a brilliant image .. i nearly expect to hear music with all the shapes and blur .. !!..:)
HI Enzo, thanks for the comments on my shot. Great work on this, the selective desat works great.
In your next trip , plan some time and I can bring you to shoot the bridge.
I love it when I pick a hotpasta photo during voting :)
Well done on the top 20 finish. 6.36 is a good indication that your mojo hasn't abandoned you entirely... hold on... didn't you just get a blue ribbon in the Hope challenge! Yes... with a 7.06 nonetheless... What are you on about with eluded mojo. You're mojoed to the eyeballs!
That's odd ... a selective desat that I don't mind at all. It's interesting to ponder the question of whether my reaction to it would be similar if the people were desaturated instead of the environment. Would it still seem to be about the people then? Or would it be about the city? I don't know for sure. That's why I like it. 7.
