This works really well in B&W. Was the sky a little blank when you took this as it doesn't look totally natural now? Also, it looks like there are some editing marks on the trees on the left, but that could well be my screen!

This amazes me. At first it just seems like a really well done image of a frozen lake, but somehow you've gotten the depth to make me feel like I'm really there. The light is tremedously beautiful as well.

B&W always increases the drama of a shot and you have used it well here. Not sure about the title though. It's not immediately apparent that anything is thawing - the foreground looks pretty solid.

My kind of shot. A lovely gray day which makes that shimmer across the water and ice all that much more delightful - we all crave just a bit more light on those days. Very peaceful - one can almost hear the quiet cracking in the ice if one looks at this long enough. And I quite like the way that glow continues and is just visible through the trees WAY down there....
