Extremely difficult to photograph black animals. This is an excellent exposure in my opinion. And, well, she(?) has that look....

Beautiful dog. Photographically, I wish I could see more of his face... its rather dark.

Those sure are some sad and playful eyes! It seems the exposure is a bit low on this, I'm not getting a lot of detail in the fur.

LOL Pitiful, but well done.

Nice dog shot. nice catch light in its eyes.

Don't assume that because you have an affinity for your subject, the rest of the world will too. Pretty dark on my calibrated monitor.

Cute dog. I like how his eyes are intently focused on you.

Adorable dog and great detail on a black dog. Believe me --- I know how tricky that can be!! Perfect title too.

Aw, how can you say no to those eyes?

Image feels a little dominated by the dark tones.

He looks sad. Photo seems a bit flat.

good control of all those blacks

You managed to keep a lot of detail in this dark subject, so very well done with that. That being said, I find the photo to be so close cropped, that the composition is quite uninteresting.. I don't know a thing about this dog's surroundings.

coz of the quality its just 2 sorry

nice eye contact with the dog, but the image needs a lot more punch to appeal

a little dark...(yes I know he is a black lab...hmm) and the flair of light on the right is a bit distracting

Looks like a sweet pup. It's hard to shoot a black animal against such a bright background. Looks like you used a flash, and the light is kind of flat. From this close it would be nice to see some texture in the fur.

Good DOF, I feel like the crop is a little tight.

There's a precious expression in the dog's face. This would be better if it were cropped down to place the dog's eyes on the top third with just a small patch of light in the top right hand corner. This accentuates the eyes/face/expression and would increase the DPC display size.
