good shot but I really disliked the framing. the huge black stripes on the side push your subject into a tiny spot in the center of the picture.

what a compelling photo. it looks almost like a finely detailed sketch of the scene. his use of the chair, and what appears to be missing legs as well (?) lead to so many questions about the subject. This is the kind of photo that makes you want to know more. Excellent presentation.

I know some think that photos like this are taking advantage of people who are less fortunate than us, but I think you achieved the opposite. This brings me into his world instead of just pretending like they don't exist, which is way too easy to do. This is one time where I like the big black border.

Wildly over the top processing, but of course I'm OK with that if it's done to good effect, which it pretty much is here. At least on the figure/chair. I think the BG is a bit of a problem... Strong image, 8 from me for sheer power.

One cannot control the circumstances of one's life. But one can control their response to them. This could easily made one bitter and angry. But it does not have to. Very nice shot, with very nice editing.

The tonal range of the light and shadow in this photo is stunningly dynamic! Love how you composed the shot to be a vertical 'widescreen cinema' look for it makes me feel like I have opened a door and walked in to see Eddie and his world. The pose of his body, the donation cup and the wheelchair he is confined to makes me feel the bleak and stark reality he faces day to day with his life on the street. Eddie bears the monotony of sitting there waiting and just waiting for the kindness of a stranger to either drop in some money, a smile or just some interesting conversation with another human being. This is a very poignant and thought provoking piece - thank you for sharing this gem that has a human interest story to be told.
