I'm rarely impressed by blurred motion images except good pan shots, but I keep coming back to this image. It works very well here proving yet another exception to my arbitrary rules.

The motion is wonderful in this shot. It shows intensity, determination, and the will to succeed. Nice capture. Originally voted it a 7, now I must bump to an 8.

I wish I could still move that fast ... when I was in college we had a couple of tables available 24 hours a day, and used 'em ... ;-)
Post actions
Wow, this is a really neat shot, especially with the judge/ref so still.

Really cool motion blur.. I see that the referee hasnt moved at all... did he fall asleep? :)
Post actions
I love the blur - what a great way to take an OK image and turn it into something special. All of sudden, we are no longer looking at two players, but at the game itself, and maybe sports in general.

Nice use of blur for the action. I'm wondering if this would be better if exposure time had been slightly shorter... 7

FUN stuff here!

Great action shot, love the contrast of the immobile referee 9

Fun! Made me smile!! Blur is superb.

Looks like the Flash playing the Flash.

Cool shot. Love the deliberate blur.

Great action shot with the blurred players and even some traces of the ball.

Terrific action capture. I really like the movement captured. Very well done.
Post actions
this interesting, I love that rather than try and stop the action you used it to accent the referee. toning works well also

Back to comment and bump: Such a fun image to look at. Very creative and a wonderful action shot. 10

The movemnt is so cool, escpecially seeing that the ref/observer is so still.

This probably wont do as well as it deserves - great idea and very well exectued.

Id prefer shorter exp. its a bit too much (the movement)

I appreciate the concept and the boldness here, unfortunately , it did not quite work.

I like this for some reason, great composition and a real sense of movement from the athletes. Well done. 7.

It was the greatest new sport on the planet, and everyone came to see. For genetic research had led to the creation of a new breed of man. A breed that gave the illusion that they were moving faster than the eye can see, and the world was enraptured by them.

ah guess it was a "fast" game...hmmm

Very nicely captured. Shows great action and very nice to look at. 9

LOL! What a great representation of the frenzied action of a ping pong game. The utter stillness of the table and judge are excellent counterpoints. Great work.
Post actions
Oh man/woman, I like that a lot. how the judge is motionless and the players are blurred. very well done.
Post actions
Great use of motion blur.
Post actions
This emphasises the speed of their motion wonderfully - especially as there isn't a hint of movement in the judge :)
Post actions
Perfect length of exposure. It's great how we can't identify the players as it makes us feel more part of their game
Post actions
An interesting action shot, but I wish it were a little more centered.

This is a great action photo. I love it when a photographer takes the artistic liberty to let the action manifest itself in the form of motion blur rather than stopped action. In this image, that decision creates a sense of the game more than a sense of the players.... excellent work :)

I like that the feet are stationary.
Post actions
I like the contrast between the light and dark areas.
Post actions
I like how the judge didn't move while the players were blurred.

I really love this one. It really shows some nice action with the players while everything else seems to be frozen still.

The motion is good but the clarity and sharpness of everything else make this shot IMO.

I love how the players are moving like crazy but the official stayed perfectly still, great capture.

Nice action! I like the movement of the figures but the judge keeping still during the exposure. Creative aproach which works nicely!
Post actions
Nice and sharp with good use of a slow shutter to create blur. A bit of dodging on the path of the ball might have made this stronger. Otherwise, they could be dancing. :)
Post actions
i like this alot but might have liked to see it in color

joola (rather than 15/15 ;) good capture

Great action shot! It is almost strange because obviously the table doesn't move!
