I don't get the symbolism here. A little too deep for me perhaps. Nice lighting and detail though. Too much empty black space just doing nothing. A different crop would have helped and the two halves of eggshell a little closer together.

I like this. The idea is great, although a better execution of detail and lighting would increase the overall photo. Clever points.

Good overall score for originality but the shot could be improved. Maybe changing the crop and centering? Adding some nest elements, a few tiny feathers or even fallen shell bits? Better white balance too and a lighter background would have definitely helped.

Love the concept. The fact that the focus doesn't catch the front of the egg shell distracts me. I would have thought that in a studio set up you could have afforded a smaller aperature.
