This is a shot that really expresses the power of this Ship.

great shot .. love the perspective and the repeated barrels .. looks excellent in sepia .. :)
Post actions
An extraordinary image. The sepia works a treat, and the composition is flawless.
Post actions
Nice framing with the barrels. This is tough to shoot, with the size of the subject, and limited room to move.

Nice shot, though it would have been better if taken when the bridge was out of the way. (I am assuming that the ship was stationary however, which would make the bridge thing difficult)

Love the duotone love the POV

really crisp and clear, nice conversion to B&W, since I'm from MA I'll give you and extra point

Great shot. Would have been nice if there been a sailor standing on the top gun turret just to give an idea of the size of those guns. Impressive shot nevertheless. 8

She looks a lot like Alabama,BB60 in Mobile Bay.
Post actions
The treatment on this really creates a retro feel. Strong lines and I think the bridge actually works to counteract all the verticals and diagonals.

Very nice choice of perspective for this shot!

Too bad this photo was taken 70 years too late. Navy would have bought it for recruiting and publicity posters during WWII. Pro quality. Superb! Where's the bridge?
Post actions
Excellent composrition. I liked to build model ships as a kid - this brings back many fond memories.
Post actions
Tones are lovely, POV is striking, overall sense of power & menace is excellent, but the image loses so much by having the BG bridge. I know you didn't have any optiosn to speak of, but it's just too bad :-(

interesting angle, i like the composition
