I am jealous. I live in this city and not in a 100 years (forgive the pun) could have come up with this shot. Everything works perfectly: foreground, background, bird, sepia toning. Maybe the composition is a bit heavy on the right side, but that's just nitpicking.
And most importantly I love the overall feeling of the shot. 10 from me and my pick for yellow ribbon.
I love this shot for its simplicity and sepia tones (even the bird is great), but I feel that it really misses the mark. The objects in the foreground are the dominant subject, and the hazy bridge in the distance, though a great counterbalance, is definitely secondary.
great shot. i like how the wooden poles are the forground, the seagull is in the middleground and hte bridge and buildings are in the background. i like shots with fore, middle, and back ground that stick out.
interesting take on an oft captured photographic subject. love the composition, the gull, and the tone. Maybe would have cloned out the boat if I was going to put it on my wall, but that's just me.
