Ah the magic of Gaudi, the man is perhaps the most creative and innovative architect in modern history.

Nicely framed it kind of makes the stairs look like a snail.

Great shot, I like the lighting, the abstract nature of this.

Almost looks like a seashell, pretty cool.

So interesting and organic. I feel it could have done with even bigger depth of field, the centre seems to go into a blur rather than infinity
Post actions
Great appearance of depth. Nice lighting all the way down.

This is one of my top 4 images (which all received 10s) in this challenge. I love the way it looks so organic. I actually thought it was a shell when I saw the thumbnail (which I saw first), but this is so much better than the shell would have been. Anyone can shoot a shell, but you saw it in the staircase and processed it masterfully. I love the DOF, too. Well done!

I like the way this mimics an ammonite, even down to the segmentation. I think it could look a little better with some levels / curves manipulation; I suspect there is some detail that could be recovered from the highlights and shadows.
Post actions
I like the composition but a tweak of contrast would have made it pop
Post actions
Wonderful shot with great perspective.

At first I wasn't sure if this was a staircase or a seashell. Nicely done and the comp is perfect.
Post actions
Nicely done. I like the geometry and the textures and it looks like natural lighting. The color works too.
Post actions
The lighting is just right
Post actions
bold perspective, a little too much contrast. Recommend to lighten the dark shadows slightly, 6

It almost looks like a seashell - very cool.
Post actions
Looks like the inside of a shell! Nicely seen and taken.

Voted earlier coming back to vote now. Wow, this looks more like the curl of a nautalus shell then a stone stairway! Angle, how you composed the shot, and lighting help greatly with creating this illusion. The eye really follows the curve/curl down. There is lots of interesting textures carved into the stone or the 'pores' in the stone and well as the curved shapes to hold the eye's attention.

This is intriguing in that I wonder how many floors it descends(or ascends)

almost like a shell. Very interesting image.

Reminds me of a sea shell! Nicely composed.
Post actions
Great eye, and great use of shadows. I love how the spiral draws the eye down the core, and the straight lines of the stairs curl around it.

The thumbnail makes it looks like some sort of nautilus or shell or whatever.. Its cool to see that its a narrow stairway.
Post actions
That looks like a fun place to photograph
Post actions
Nice play of light on the steps.
Post actions
Is that chewing gum on the steps?
