Mine! Great detail. Nice colors.

While this is not a pleasant scene, the colors and detail, especially on the mantis, are very good.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. ACK!!! When I just saw the thumbnail I thought it was going to be just a bee as the main subject. Full view has a big surprise! Not a good day for this bee is it! Nasty jaws on that mantis as it digs into the head. Great details in this insect shot that shows the drama of survival that happens in the animal kingdom everyday.

I don't like things eating my bees. LOL Very unique capture. Don't think I've ever seen a mantis eat a bee. Excellent. Wow, that almost looks like a stinger in the mantis foreleg! Wonder how this meal turned out?

natural drama, just a little deeper dof to have the mantis completely focused would have been great

One of my favorite subject matters! Praying Mantis's that is, not death, gore and decapitation :) Nice capture!

Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.

This will get voted down because of the "creepy" topic. But it is a good capture.

Outstanding catch! The black... critter definitely contrasts with the rest of the image. The clarity is good, too!

I respect these photos so much, I just find it remarkable how much patience you have to capture these macro moments and have it technically perfect

Great macro detail and nice job showing life in action.

Outstanding. To see a spider with prey is one thing, but mantises must move quickly.
Post actions
Wow. That is one serious macro shot. Somehow I feel sorry for the bee.
Post actions
thats a pretty extreme close up

Nice shot of something that happens around us everyday but we don't often see
Post actions
Oh my - what a dramatic capture! This interests me a lot more than many of the bug shots I see here.

Coming back to comment...

Brutal! An incredible capture subject-wise. A little oversaturated though, so there's some loss of detail on the mantis. RIP little bee...

Ew, it took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at, the mantis blends in with the foliage so well. I guess the bee had the same problem.
Post actions
owie! I'm hurting from this, haha nice capture
Post actions

"Step into my parlor," said the spider to the fly. <---- First thing I thought of when I saw this picture, even though this is neither a spider, nor a fly. :)
Post actions
I think the yuck factor is going to hurt you here. Very well done.
Post actions
Yikes! Congrats on a interesting pic.

Sweet... I had $10 on the Mantis to win!!!!
