This was taken at Maraetai Beach in Auckland on the 15th of January. Clear blue skies, blue water, and the sun shining - pure tranquility. Taken from the steps leading up to the main streets.

This is too small to show detail and to accurately comment on. I think it would have been better though if you had composed the photo without the railing and fence.
The colors here are very pretty. You are probably getting lots of comments about the photo being too small. A bigger photo would allow us to see the details better.
I'm this is a beautiful place, but the technicals of your image don't do it justice. Tighter crops left and right would have brought out more of the beauty of the bay.
the photo is dark, if you had done some more step photography we wouldn't see the fence to the right and more of the beautiful water and boats in the front.
