This looks cool put over something else in either the soft light, overlay or even multiply mode, depending on how bright your background is.
Not meant to really stand on its own but OVER something else. :~)

Now, this looks more like something eerie, only I can't quite tell what it is. I think it needs maybe one tiny identifying detail to make it more interesting. Otherwise, it's a good combination of shapes and graduation of tones.
