If the left side of the frame contains your main subject then it seems to be too dark.

Nice detail and lines. Good commentary piece.

Interesting shot, I feel like I'm looking at something historic, but I have to admit my naivety and confess that I'm not sure what.

Nice photo, and good black and white edit... not sure I understand how the title fits, but that doesnt take away from the shot at all.

Nicely processed B&W image. Lovely composition.

I'm guessing this is the aftermath of a civil war re-enactment and the black grass is where the soldiers were standing. Interesting lines all leading to the back from the fence, grass edge and black patch. Nice composition.

Image feels a bit too sharp, but there is a good balance of whites and blacks.

Good pic. A bit brighter would even score higher for me.

A bit too contrasty for me, there's not much detail in the tree, ufortunately.

Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.

Evocative lighting. Great shapes and contrast in textures. Good dof. Bumped

Hm. I think more of an angle coming from the side by the fence would have been nicer.. have the fence lead the eye than that path of grass.

A very pleasant landscape. Dark and light split with fenceline mediating is pretty interesting.

interesting moody shadows

Good use of B&W and composition

Bold statement, love the lines, but I don't understand the red tinted area in the fence.

I think this photograph could benefit from a stronger composition.

too dark at left, too much sharpening

Interesting shot, I would be curious to see it side by side black and white and color.

I don't really get the title here. A hard composition to photograph with the light and darkness on each side.
03/11/2009 09:41:59 PMPost actions
I'm not so sure about that reddish patch on the wood there.

Should've kept more details either in the sky or in the trees... or both. These Zone X+ and I- areas are void... and quite large.

Would haave been better in color
03/11/2009 10:33:58 AMPost actions
good image, but a little too dark, in my opinion

not your typical DPC crowd pleaser - I really like it though. Good luck.
