This image deserved to rank much higher. It's really a very fine wildlife capture.

Great shot! One is hard enough to capture on film, let alone a whole family, and all except momma looking at the camera (or at least your general direction).

You're probably getting lots of faves. Here's mine.

Great shot, family was the first thing I thought of when I saw this and I think the group's cohesiveness is expressed well.

Good expressions and framing. Needs a bit more detail.

They are so sweet! Nice shot!

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. Wow! Great capture of this moment in time when all the cubs are looking at our direction while the mother cheetah stands guard. You can definately say that this is a great family portrait of the cheetahs in the wild:-) This must have been an exciting sight to see real time! I do want to take a moment to point out one area that would make this great photo pop more visually. Contrasts are good in the shot but they could be better and little more dynamic. Boosting the contrasts levels a bit more could really make the cheetah family pop even more especially against the backdrop.

Nice shot of these cheetahs. Could use a little sharpening, but still a good capture.

Excellent capture with great DOF and detail.

if these animals are in the wild then their survival would definitely be touch and go .. with four young ones to care for mum would have her work cut out for her .. i love the way they all seem to intent and watchful .. brilliant shot .. :)

Very beautiful! Yeah for long lenses!!!

Fantastic family group photo of these Cheetah's. I would have liked to see a touch more sharpness though. Great composition though nevertheless. 7

An interesting image, well composed but I think it lacks a little clarity to do really well.
Post actions
Well composed with good use of natural lighting, I just wish it were a little sharper.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Technicals aren't perfect (fuzzy) but it's a really nice photo.

One of the most beautiful family portraits. Cheetahs are my favorite!

these look like the cubs from the national zoo. though they are all grown up now. great image - difficult to get so many in one place and all paying attention. dof field and lighting are good. composition great. good luck in the challenge!

Oh so cute... and the little ones are all looking at you. Lovely.

for some reason I don't think of large cats as having "litters" one or two but that is all...just wish your focus was a little sharper

10! Great shot! I love everything- from the colors, the directions they are looking, the crop! Where was this taken??

Nice shot, DOF was a little shallow to encompass the whole family

Great capture. I love cheetahs.

Four cubs?! That mama sure has a lot of work before those guys are grown! If they all make it ... I'll just imagine they did. Terrific image; just magical to see them all together like that, and with nice backlighting, to boot.

Cheetahs! I recently got to pet a baby about that size. They really are amazing animals

The perfectly posed family grouping. To get this shot without any distractions such as stray twigs and branches in the way is very impressive. this photo would look quite at home on the cover of BBC wildlife magazine. The only thing that stops this from getting a 10 from me is the placement of the horizon.

Cute looking family! I like the light!

Would be a National Geographic candidate if a little sharper.

Oh my gosh!! they're terrific - I love how the daddy is pointing a different direction. (or is it the mommy)

Nice leading line composition, but this one feels like the focus is lacking.

I always like seeing photos of things that I may never get to see in real life. This shows me the wondrous things beyond my country.

Wonderful creatures and a nice light :)

As cute as they look, I wouldn't want to run into them in the wild.

Excellent, great composition but still very natural - and clearly not captured in a zoo.

I love this shot. You managed to get all of their faces. Lovely background and tree they are lying on. Cheetah's I think, right? Looks like a proud mom.
