Nice backlit capture! Good color.

Beautiful tone throughout this shot. The border created by the dark clouds is good as well as the placement and size of the plane. Great work.

Reminds me of scene from a vintage Hollywood classic...quite dramatic sky.

The swoop of the clouds behind the plane is subtle, but interesting against those ominous clouds.

Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.

Such an atmospheric shot. You can almost hear the roar of the engines and feel like your back in 1944. Well done and good luck for the rest of the challenge.

I really like the title here. Works well with the image but there are some strange little specs in the frame, not sure what they are. I like the color treatment.

dramatic, reminds me of the movie flight of the phoenix, 6

either the plane or the coloring leaves a great 50s feel. :)

Wow, the colors in this are perfect, golden. The silhouette is sharp. The darker clouds frame the light middle. This is wonderful.

Great nostalgic shot. Love the golden tones of the sky, and the plane is perfectly silhouetted.

Cool timing, the lighting is prefect.

Love the warm gold orange hues that not only add warmth to the scene but the colors and silhouette of the plane adds to a sense of nostalgia. Akin to old travel posters or faded color of a well worn map the twin prop plane against the golden sky speaks of adventure. Like some of those old 40's films of 'seek adventure!' or even Indiana Jones era/films or Charles Lindbergh, the plane taking flight speaks of an era or time when the sky was the limit and there were many uncharted territories to explore and discover. It also speaks to me as a reminder that there still are - we just have to look for and appreciate them. Wonderfully captured and well presented imagery in this composition.

Beautiful cinematic quality clouds.

Cool shot. I like the color and the exposure. Very cool to see a bit of motion blur on the propellers, too. I think the shot would benefit from the removal of a few little spots (sensor dust?), and I wish you would have given us a 720 version.
Post actions
well composed; the dramatic contrasts and the toning reminds of a WWII movie. You oughta have cloned out the sensor dust, though.
