Back to comment: The colors of the cardinal are really nicely done. The image could use a bit of sharpening. I’m not sure how experienced you are with downsizing images but most images get softer and require sharpening after they are downsized to DPC size.

The two birds talking to each other makes this image. Your choice of DOF is very good for the situation. I like the colours also, all warm, the reds against yellows and browns. What doesn't work so well is that the picture doesn't look quite sharp (and this kind of picture really needs to be razor sharp to work). Also, it would be good to throw just a little bit more light onto the eye of the bird in front; as it is right now, the brightest area is right behind the eye, on the feathers, and it makes the eye look dull.
