Nice stop motion with shallow DOF. How fast those wings are!

Interesting how the wings seem to disappear into the background.

Could be sharper... but GOSH! Those things are FAST! Lovely bokeh.

Well captured and presented.

Great capture, the DOF helps the humming bird to stand out from the background.

tough shot. you do need to use multiple flashes if you can to have a better capture, 5

Hmmmm. Never seen a hummer with horns! Interesting.

Lovely action shot, focus is a bit soft on the hummingbird but I would imagine this is not an easy shot to get.

Hummingbirds are so hard to photograph. Nice try.

hard shot to get perfect. just a little overexposed on the flowers

Hummingbirds are very difficult to photograph. There is some steep competition on this website, and unfortunately, the better hummingbird photos make the rest of us look like amateurs.

Nice shot. These buggers are hard to get.

almost looks like a wingless bird...nice colors and bokeh
03/13/2009 04:15:58 PMPost actions
I kinda wish the humming bird was a little less blurry, and the colors all seem a little over exposed.

excellent timing and capture

Not bad, but not quite sharp enough. Composition is good.
03/13/2009 08:10:50 AMPost actions
Needs a little more focus and the colors are a little flat but I do love the subject. Hummingbirds are awesome!

Nice colors and a lovely catch of this fine looking bird.

this is hard but need even faster shutter

Good shot but a little under avg shot for hummingbirds. Little OOF.

nice job blurring the background, these aren't easy shots to get, those little guys move awful fast

nice to see hummingbirds feeding
03/12/2009 03:23:49 AMPost actions
lovely bokeh. Could do with being just a touch sharper.

good quick fingers to get this guy. I'd really like some more contrast and sharpness.
03/11/2009 09:19:47 PMPost actions
You are blessed to have caught this little guy - they're FAST! But it is out of focus, though the background is a great bokeh.
03/11/2009 07:26:37 PMPost actions
I like the orange and green contrast, probably would have looked better a little sharper, but those things move fast!

Decent shot of a very difficult subject to photograph.

good try at a difficult subject, but the colors are a little flat, and there is camera shake.

Like the fact that this is natural feeding , not at feeder.
Lots of patience

This has great warmth to it - from the colors, the bokeh, lightness of it. And since I'm familiar with bouganvilla (though not sure I can spell it), this really does a good job of showing just how tiny these little guys really are!
