 This is a minimal edit - just a bit of levels and a crop.

I am aware the DOF isn't for everybody but the focus is set on the most textured part of the hand and I like the way it finds the 5th fingernail and the carpet by the thumb.

I really have no idea why this image got a validation request....

I like the shallow DOF, but I feel like this focus should be on the fingertips, given your title. Not sure how you would make that work compositionally though...

Scary, but cool. in my opinion dof works great here to give that additional hint of mystery and dread. Good one.
