playfulness is more serious than you think. big crop, neat image, calculations to b/w, sharpening on the wolves.

---post-challenge----

third highest! still can't beat my onion! hahahaha

there is a wolf preserve in NW NJ. I took this shot through a chain-link fence with the magic of DOF. The wolves were playing. I thought black was alpha but this photo is making me reconsider.

Oh I love this shot and it makes me want to visit with them again. We have a wolf sanctuary in Southern California.
Fantastic capture of the Alpha and the underdog...

This is SO awesome. And so unlike what I usually see from you :-)

I volunteer at a wolf rescue out here, so this image is quite special to me.

Wolves seem to be 'in' this month. :} You captured some mean looking teeth. I like the action and the b&w conversion. Nice job getting the wolves to stand out from the busy surroundings.

WOW - this is just perfect. Stop action and the tonal range. WOWZA. This is my pick for the blue. I haven't given out 10's in a long time and this is the second one I've had the privilege of giving. Good luck - this is a winner.
