If it was 'candid' in a cafe, you can use a white napkin, or another plate to bounce some light onto the front side of the cake, to even out the exposure without attacting too much attention.
This isn't lit particulalry well and the details aren't crips enough. This should look lucious and delicious but it isn't tempting me. It looks rather dewey for some reason (frozen, hasn't had time to thaw?). The composition isn't bad but the cake is falling off the lower edge a bit.
ya...but from chocolate fiend to another... i'd put more chocolate EVERYWHERE! like chocolate syrup and chocolate ice cream...i mean i'd be floating in chocolate for this challange...whoa...sorry there...getting carried away :)
