When I saw the challenge name, I had some trouble thinking of some ideas... then I realized, what is light in colour and also light in weight? A Feather!!! so I went out and bought a small bag of feathers for about $3, and started firing away... First I tried to half-ass it with just one alienbee light and a softbox, but then when you try and get the background white enough, the feather gets too white... so I got out a second alienbee light just for the background... Here's the setup: one alienbee B400 with the standard 7" reflector aimed at awhite sheet ob bristolboard, feather stuch into a tripod raised higher than the alienbee B400, and then a alienbee B1600 uo above the feather aimed down a bit with a medium softbox.
it took a couple hours believe it or not to get the setup right... it's tricky getting the reflection in the water drip just the way you want it...
the feather fairly light (a bit tricky to see over teh background) BUT that's the whole point of this challenge... right? =P
How will this do? dunno... but I think it turned out pretty damn good...

Excellent. You met the challenge perfectly and it is also a nice image. And what's a picture on DPC without a water droplet? :) Not too thought provoking though and little value other than eye candy. 7
