Way to go Jules!!! Great shot...came out of semi retirement to make this comment :) I love the palette and tones, and tbh I'm blown away that the DPC voters liked such a grungy image. Well done....fab work. I think it would really benefit from a strong border if you're going to hang it. Best, N x

Comments Made During the Challenge

This pic would score MUCH higher is the TEXACO sign was brighter IMO, still great shot!
Post actions
I love the composition and the exposure in this frame
Post actions
Looks like it should be in a magazine
Post actions
Like it. I'd like to know how you adjusted this for such a look under basic rules.
Post actions
I like the composition and texture here. I guess just a bit more work with dodging and burning to make these colors and texture Pop would make this image stunning, IMO. 9
Post actions
Classic... I expected shots like this on this challenge... this is one of the best entries IMO
Post actions
If this wasn't Basic editing, wouldn't you love to get rid of that wire? Still a great shot and definitely one of my favorites in this challenge.
Post actions
Post actions
Lovely shot, pity it was only basic editing as that cable top left is a distraction and the image would be better without it.
Post actions
This is good...really like the old Texaco sign...and the rusty old truck
Post actions
Pretty cool that this old truck is there too. You must have used a split ND filter on this to darken the sky and sign? Works pretty well except for the sign (meaning good idea on controlling the sky). Anyway...good luck in the challenge.
Post actions
nice shot, love the angle, and the rusty car is great 8
Post actions
I like everything about this one everything and wish I had the same setting
Post actions
I like this... great colors and mood - my highest scored, 8.
Post actions
nice feel here...the muted colors really work well...thus far my favorite
Post actions
Great composition, shot and processing. In my top 5!
Post actions
came here looking for a shot like this, you didn't dissapoint! 10
