The lighting (looks like on-camera flash) just doesn't work here. It leaves some shadows while also appearing very flat. There's also a yellow cast over the image, more than just the yellow subject matter.

Very pretty sun-flowers but I think the lighting let you down. Maybe adjust white point.

Focus seems a bit soft and the image is overall a little dark...good subject though.
