These shots have both made previous appearances in the December "Whatever" side challenge. They were also taken from almost the same spot. The shot on the right is a little to the right of the shot on the left but looking upwards a bit. They were taken on different evenings which accounts for the different position of the Moon.
I really like the color of the sky here and the silhouettes of the trees. Despite your title, I think I'd only like to see the moon in one of the shots--the one on the right.
