A low perspective can be interesting in a pet portrait, but in general too close a view of nostrils is not visually pleasing to many people. Lighting is exceptionally bright and not flattering. On the plus side, it looks like maybe the dog was getting a chest rub, so at least the portrait session wasn't stressful for the model.
