I used red ink for the footprints, because I was going for a black & white picture. After shooting I did like the colour of the eggshell, so I went for a selective desaturation of red. Other processing: curves, usm, resized, sharpened and saved for web.

One of the more imaginative egg shots. The lighting on the egg is a bit blow out on the right edges (especially the cap), and for all the trouble you went to, the bird images could have been more bird-like.
