Taken on a walk on the niskayuna bike path, these two were just naturally dressed "opposite". I was looking for opposites in all the wrong places, and then we realized (thanks to my daughter).
Taken in RAW (CRW), Reduced in Breezebrowser to 670 max height, with USM, Normal Conversion, High Smart Noise Reduction; Then loaded in PSe (now 8 bit, cropped a bit on the left and top to hit the sweet spots, level adjustment, and contrast adjustment.

I picked the colors as the opposites and and not mother/daughter,
liked the layout with 3rds and the curve of the road leading forward
nice and clear
they seem to be happy together
I gave it 8
So different that they are the same. Good photo, well composed, well lighted. By personal preference, I'd like it better if they were coming towards the viewer so we could see their faces also. But that's just me. 9
Great use of that leading line. It adds a lot of depth to your composition. I also like it the puth their feet forward, gives some feeling of motion.
I had to look for the opposite in this photo, but after some time found out that I overlooked it (the clothes, I was thinking too much on a mind & gene level). ;)
Good work.
Good idea for this challenge: opposite dress, opposite feet, grown-up and young. It has a bit of a stagey feel to it, but not overly so. As a portrait of sorts it might be nice to see a bit more of one or both of their faces. Overall, very nice. Good composition and line. Great color and spirit.
I get it. the blues and the reds or the young and the not so young hair up hair down walking on left walking on right, left arm hooked right arm hooked straight path to crooked path Good capture
