Powerful message in this stunning wartime image. I like the dark ominous sky and the golden glow from the setting sun reflecting of the ruins of the bombed buildings. The remaining branches of a lonely tree contrast starkly against the dark sky and add a feeling of forlornness and despair. It's almost as if the message here is twofold...end of the day and also end of hope. Brilliant. |
