Everything about this image was beautifully thought out, and superbly executed. The tones are delightful. Vermeer comes to mind. A perfect still life.

I love the light in this. But in addition to that, you also have most artfully arranged your subject and I don't think a lot of people realize just how hard that is to do! Wonderful work - congrats on the ribbon and high score!
Post actions
This was one of my high score. Amazing soft lighting. One of the best still life shot, I have seen. I will appreciate if you can share the lighting setup.

Sunflowers and Pears! Both of my favorite still life subjects, and you got them in one shot ;) Beautiful capture. Excellent job with the lighting. Has a lovely soft feel to it, yet it is sharp. Great work. Very refreshing seeing a still life like this ribbon. +faveMessage edited by author 2009-02-08 00:20:01.

This is my own personal voting scale. It's merely an huble opinion, based on whatever limited photography knowledge I have. You have all right to agree/disagree with me.
Post actions
Ok. Slap a mat and frame around it, and you're good to go! Superbly rendered still life here. Well done.
Post actions
I don't care for still life photographs, but if you are going to keep doing this I'll have to reconsider my position. It's astoundingly lovely. I can't believe that I have spent at least 5 minutes just slowly savoring all the lovingly-rendered details here, but I have. Anyway, please don't tell anyone I said all this, because I just hate liking something so damn tasteful. 9.

Back for a bump. The lighting on this is amazing and I hope this scores well.

Simply Outstanding!

Uhm, I... uhm.. I was just... I don't know what to say. I... Seriously! I can't take my eyes of this photo. I was just going to vote on some photos before I went to bed, and know I've been sitting here watching this one for at least 10 minutes! I have to stop writing now and vote. 10 and favorite from me. So beautifull!

i love the lighting and colors of this still life. i don't know if the folds in the cloth help out.
Post actions
Stunning light and color. Wow.
Post actions
nice color, good lighting, like a painting...I am talking myself into liking it
Post actions
Interesting soft feel, a nice contrast to some of the over-sharpened images here. I think I would have liked to have seen a touch more contrast between the petals and the centres of the sunflowers - but perhaps that would throw the whole image off.
Post actions
I like the color tone and the detail the way it seems to bring out the textures of your objects. Very Nice!
Post actions
I love the lighting and the muted tones.

Not voting, but this is stunning. Wouldn't be surprised to see it in the top 10.
