Very nicely executed image. I love the rich red tones and the fiery ball of the setting sun. Nice silhouettes and the image conveys a good feeling of silence. 8
IMHO this image (as beautiful as it is) does not strictly represent "silence" per se. I feel as though it is a very well composed landscape - that could easily fit more comfortably into a dozen other catagories. I note however, have found that my voting in this challenge has tended to be skewed towards clever and interesting "concepts" more than the quality of the images themselves.
Very nice shot! I would have scored it even higher if it wasn't so grainy, and if the sailboat were lower in the frame, not "in contact" with the dark shore. (Of course, I doubt you had any control over that...) :)
