the snow isn't looking white. I don't know if it is the lighting or the white balance

It looks like there was some interesting light on the tree. I like the bright snow on the branches in contrast to the shadowy area beneath it, although I think I would like a different crop or perspective to make that contrast a bigger part of the image. I also find the wooden thingie on the right rather abruptly breaking up the intricate pattern of the branches, while the gently rolling hill makes a nicer background.
