This is a picture of my son Matthew. I was reading about the challenge in my office when I looked across and saw Matthew intently concentrating on the laptop, with the screen providing the only light and refelcted in his glasses. He is a very self conscious subject so I picked up the camera and leaned over the desk and out the door. Remembered to switch off the flash and set the ISO high enough to get a shutter speed fast enough for the low light without too much grain and took the shot. Considering I only had one shot (for it to be truely candid) at it I was quite pleased with the result.
Still learning Photoshop but made a few adjustments to the brightness and shadows etc. Cropping was the hardest part though.
I only recently joined the community here and this is my first submission. I have always been a very much a, everything to auto and fire, kind of snapper. Mainly holiday pics and loads of my family. Now hopeing to expand my techincal knowledge and learn a lot more about this great hobby. Thanks for looking. Paul.
