Image taken with a Nikon D1x with a 17-35mm f2.8D AFS lens.
The late fall sun is cast against a storm fence set-up to defend the beach against the winter weather that will soon be upon us, creating an illusion of prison bars. But, the dog has already escaped.
Protests have been received about too many dog shots in DP Challenges, so this one is "sans" dog. Captured while on a walk in the park, with the dogs. ;-) Morgan

A very nice photo, but either I don't get it or there is no illusion. Or is the dog supposed to be the illusion? Anymway, I like the lighting and the texture of the sand. -stephan
Very good photo! Invisible dog? I like how the tracks are in between the shadows. Sorry, but I do feel this is a tad weak for the challenge, but I'll go a 7 anyway. Swash
