I took quite a few shots at this location, especially of the hills. However, of all those I took, this was the best - I think the tractor tracks offer a sense of depth which serves the image well.
The edit was trickier than I had anticipated, the circular polariser gave some differential brightness to parts of the sky which left me with a bit of a problem.
I don't think the subject is nearly spectacular enough to do well in this challenge though the image remains true to the countryside in which it was shot. In the end I couldn't muster up enough skill to get this image just as I would like it though.
Edit: I used Aperture 2's 'Color Monochrome' to substitute a light grey for white so giving a nicer, softer tone. Other than that, there is a crop, some sharpening, some noise reduction and tweaks to the contrast.
I then did a bit of dodge and burn on the barn.
The final touch was an application of a slight tint with Preview.
