Another drive by...
Here is the original:
First I ran shadow/highlight, then in Color Efex Pro I ran tonal contrast, cross processing and bi-color filters. Then I used Silver Efex Pro to make an overexposed b&w version to blend in soft light mode. I wanted it to have a faded look, so it lacks contrast on purpose. I used Andrea Rusky's wall texture found here in hard light mode. Then I used this texture by playingwithbrushes in overlay mode. I rotated it a bit, then added a layer under it and painted white around the edges to get the border.

Thanks, Colleen, for posting the processing steps and the links for the overlays. I have bookmarked the texture galleries. Now if only I could get some inspiration on when and were to use the textures. ;)
The processing really made this look like a hot and parched desert.
