 B&W Version....

Took this a few years ago while camping in Cape Cod. Took the jeep onto the sand (National Seashore) and faced the Atlantic. Found this fishing boat floating around with birds following. I exposed for the sky, looking to keep the boat low key.

Processing:
Took the color version and added a monochrome channel mix.

i really like this process coz it seems more dramatic that your colour version .. but i really like that one too .. great shot . and two excellent processes .. :)

Nice luminous quality to the water. I think I like the color version better, but I might feel differently on a different day ...

I think it's fine to have the horizon near the middle if you have important detail both above and below, as here.

Normally I'm a B&W gal, but this one doesn't work as well as the color version for me.
