Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Best of 2008 (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Olympus SP-550 UZ
Location: BELGRADE LAKES, MAINE
Date: Nov 5, 2008
Aperture: F4
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/800 sec
Galleries: Still Life, Water
Date Uploaded: Jan 15, 2009

Rotate, hue/sat, contrast, color, curve, flatten, size, usm, dodge, burn, covert to profile, save to web.

An overcast day - dark clouds were low in the sky, reflecting off the lake. And the little red kayak cut through the fog and mist and was so still in the water. It was surreal.

I love the way the water almost has a painted look to it. Had to come back and bump this one up!

the sweeping lines of the water from the sky above, the angle of the kayak, and the simplicity of the shot - excellent individual components that together make something special
