ooooh I beat you! :-P ;o) lol Seriously, you know I love this shot, I'm so glad I get to see this view everyday and can't wait for our next holiday :o) There's definitely a 6.2+ image at this location and I'm sure you'll find it eventually :o)
I'm sure that title is a line from a story, it sounds so familiar. I googled the title to try and find out where this phrase was from. The 7th hit led me back to this challenge entry! I love the dreamy look to this. Excellent b/w processing. I hope you listed some notes on how you photographed and processed this.
Superb black and white. You should have entered this in the Ansel Adams challenge. Really stunning and perfectly executed in every way. Classic. Beautiful. 9
nicely done, but it does end to draw your eye to the left as it is tilting that way, nice clarity with softness all around, the water is spot on, well done
Of flowers and feathers and fairies that fly
on wing dusted grey and shattered blue sky
Of eagles that soar on ribbon colored rain
of skies drizzling color as the lone artist paints
A swirl of gold amidst the dusty, dry trail
that ribbons and winds around the fairy's tale.

Romantic, charming, sweet hallucination. I still see this in colour.
OMG, it look light a painting. Excellent photo, very good choice of B&W. I would have bumped it to 10 if that branch was not in between. Excellent photo, will stick with 9 I gave earlier. Good luck.
And I did...though just a little bit further down than this spot ;o) I like it here, it's one of the truly peaceful places on the island. You can watch the different weather fronts (is that the right word?) rolling in over various parts of the island, see snow on top of Ben More one way and the brilliant sunshine another...I just wish it was right outside my window now! Obviously not voting on this image! Best of luck Andrew :) Thanks for both our great 2008 Mull trips XxX
This photo is so poetic. I love how the branch on the right reaches forward. The photo appears tilted to me a little to the left. Anyways, a 7 from me.
what a lovely scene. grass on the far left seems a bit too bright and kinda distracting, but its still a lovely place you've captured. nice motion in the water. this makes me want to go sit up in that tree for a while:)
