Challenge: Best of 2008 (Advanced Editing VII*)
Collection: Challenges - 2009
Camera: Canon EOS-40D
Lens: Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Location: Melboune, Australia
Date: Dec 29, 2008
Aperture: f/6.3
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/60
Galleries: Black and White, Children
Date Uploaded: Jan 14, 2009

This is a photo of children #4 and #5 sitting on the back step during #2's birthday.

It has an almost Shelby Lee Adams quality to it... I think anyway.

Processing: Played with this for ages in Lightroom. Then applied the unsharpen mask filter in Gimp.

Prediction: It'll struggle to get above 5.3 I'm betting. It's definitely not your usual DPC fodder, but perhaps I might get an OOBIE or a Posthumous for it.

Cute kids and I like the use of blue as dominant tone. Point of view feels a little awkward though.

Priceless, with a good candid feel. The blue duotone procesing works well with their jeans.

This is so sweet and sentimental. The kid on the right is all, Are You Done Yet? Nice slice of life.
