Taken on Bass Rock in Scotland where there is a huge gannet colony. Got loads of orthodox gannet pictures as intended, then a few just for me;) I like this because it breaks a whole load of rules. :):)

I like the detail in the eye and how the gannet stands out in a field of blue. I can just see faint haloing around the wings so maybe a bit too much hightlight/shadow or sharpening. Other than that a very nice image.
I have to look up this place as I'm going back to Scotland in June.
Excellent rendition of the plumage on this gannet. The blue of the eye is slightly too saturated (unless of course, the gannets that summer in England have paler eyes..).
