I shot this on the last day of August while traveling in Oregon and was unable to enter it in the Free Study. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to enter it in the Best of '08. I'm glad I waited.
Thanks for all of the wonderful and helpful comments!

Wow, what a terrific capture! It's also an excellent example of being in the right place at the right time. Without the tilted horizon and sharpening halos this would probably have a ribbon. If it were up to me I'd also give the rainbow a bit more room at the top of the image. Anyway, congratulations on a great shot!
That is one heck of a rainbow - I hope you were able to find the pot of gold a the end - lovely sweeping clouds, excellent composition to get the rainbow leading to the lighthouse - very nice
This is a stunning photo and that rainbow is to die for. What keeps me from giving it a higher score are the sharpening halos around the rocks and lighthouse.
It is such a shame that a tilted horizon, something that is so simple to avoid takes so much away from what is otherwise an outstanding picture and an incredibly lucky opportunity. This would have been an 8, or even my first 9 of the challenge.
Amazing, what great timing for you. Shame you decided not to straighten the horizon, though. Another 2 seconds of processing and you'd have a perfect photo.
