Dennis, sorry to be so long in handing out the comments, but sometimes you just run short on time.
I have no idea why this didn't do better with the voters, I thought it had a wonderful down home feel to the shot and the sepia tones added just the right touch of nostalgia.
I thought your subject matter was great the lighting was spot on and the composition worked well, I scored it a 7.
IMHO you were robbed.

I liked this one. I thought the use of the cereal was clever. Also, your processing was great at making this look like a TV commercial. Voters can't see past the clean and crisp I guess. |

I gave it a 6. I was apparently of the minority who saw the vintage advertising look you were going for. Don't underrate that compact Lumix. 3 out of my 5 top scoring entries were done with my Powershot S5.

Like the PP'ing done here. Gives it that old tv feel to it. The light behind her is so bright, might have been better if the curtain was drawn. |

Pixelated and blown out in places, but I think your intention was to make this look like a shot off of a TV. If that was the look you were going for, you pulled it off well. |
