This photo was taken at Viera wetlands which is an Alligator infested swamp land. This little fish most likely avoided death several times by out maneuvering very large Turtles and Gators, but this bird brought this little guys life to an end shortly after this photo was taken. He flipped the little fish around until he was pointed head first down towards the birds throat, then down he went in a couple of seconds. You are witness to the little guys final farewell.

I am very pleased to see my score heading up instead of down. I started with a 5 and very quickly found myself at a 4.6.(Thanks to a few trolls)(According to the forums, I wasn't alone). Anyway,It took a couple of days for my score to reach the fives again. I know it isn't the greatest quality photo, but it was the only really good entry that I had that would actually meet the challenge. It is now in the voters hands, let's see where it goes from here. Hopefully the trolls will go take a nap until after the end of the challenge.

Congratulations on your top 20 finish. The blur of the bird's head indicatates he is going to town on that unlucky fish. Nice crisp focus on the fish. I love the birds they have so much detail in them. Great capture.
