Not enough sand in this picture. For me, the challenges are about the photos, not the titles, and without the title, I would have no idea how this picture relates.

That is surely in your face. I like all the sand on his nose and whiskers. The exteme close-up and centered compostion are perhaps a bit much. Usually the eyes are key to a portrait and his a black and featureless.

Excellent close up. The sand on his face is perfect. This is one of those images I would hang on my wall at home, thus it is worth at least a 10.
