I am sure this meets the challenge to the letter. Technically, the image just appears to be very flat...not anything that is dynamic or outwardly creating that "oomph" factor.
Not the most exciting composition but it has excellent focus, contrast and colors. With the reflections on the vats, you've captured the smooth textures.
I gave this a five. I don't love the composition but the exposure is decent and it is an interesting subject which I can easily believe you've never photographed before.
The light is a bit much, a bit washed out it seems. The cropping is fine, but the rotation needs to move a tad bit counterclockwise I think. The color is okay, but doesn't stand out enough. The idea is neat.
