So sweet! She looks as if it's cold. So nice to see the face.

From the shallow DOF I'm guessing you had that thing zoomed way in. The softness works fine, but I would like see it just a tad sharper.

This little guy looks rather shy. Good job getting yourself into position for a pretty clean shot of him. (Or her.)

Nice image. Reminds me of a beautiful holiday card. Another image with a great depth of field. Looks like you and the new lens are best of friends.
cheers,

Seeing this shot and the Chickadee, maybe you need to take some pruning shears to that bush :)
I'm really looking forwards to seeing your shots all year. Thanks!

Much better composition and out of focus elements in this shot! A lot less cluttered, and a lot better for it!

PAW - I like this better than your first one because other than a little OOF twig nothing is blocking the Goldfinch and we can see it's face. Good framing by branches. Maybe boost the saturation a bit to bring out the coloring.

You framed this little guy perfectly with the branches. Perhaps a small boost in saturation would help to bring out his yellow coloring a bit more? Nicely done!
