This is definetly my favorite one so far. I like the residential scene as opposed to a city scape. Also, for some reason the smoke around the houses made me think of a zombie invasion, and I love zombie movies =D.
I really like the way the homes are an integral part of the image, with their lighted windows providing a nice balance to the bright fireworks above. Works well.
this photo has been growing on me more ever second i look at it. my first reaction was an unpleasent one(not sure why), but them i kept looking and it became a very interesting peice. i love how unique each of the explosions are, in both color and shape. i originally didnt like the houses with their glowing windows, but now they really grab me. the silhouettes of the roofs and the different tones of glow and designs in the windows are very intersting once you really start looking. same with the street lights and the line of lights off on the horizon.
