Technically speaking this image is well done. The lighting, exposure, and lining up of the image is spot on. However, personally don't like how this image is a blatant rip off of a previous Transparency Challenge's ribbon winning image. I'm all for seeing a cool shot on DPC and then going and trying to recreate the image yourself to see if you can do it. I've done that plenty of times. It's a great way to try and improve your own shooting by attempting to duplicate a cool shot that inspired you here on DPC. But to then enter that same concept or idea in another version of the same challenge just strikes a bad cord with me.
Please don't take this as some kind of personal attack. It is not. It's just how I feel. Despite my personal feelings, I still scored this image above average.
Like I said in my PM to you, thanks for the comments. They are appreciated. I just went back and reviewed the old Transparency challenges and I see what you mean. There is no way on God's green Earth would I ever tried to emulate kiwiness. His shot was 10x harder than mine. I had a sleeping baby, he had a psycho! :)
Wow! Did you cut out the screen on your laptop? No? THEN IT ISN'T TRANSPARENT! There is no hole on the laptop! I don't care how powerful your backlights are. You get a 10! Minus 9!
There is a pane of glass in front of the child and monitor. I guess it's too clean. I'll try harder in the future.

I saw this on the last transparency challenge and loved the idea. You did a very nice job, I do wish I could see the icons of your desktop, so I know it is not just cutout laptop frame.
