A common, everyday stapler shot in a light tent with two light sources at either side. I used my Canon 40D on a Manfrotto tripod, with the shutter triggered with a wireless remote.
The background "lampposts" are small ceramic holiday figurines.
As usual, I'm entering this at the 11th hour. It's now 45 minutes from the deadline and I spent the past hour staging the set and shooting. I wasn't going to enter this contest, but thought of the stapler at the last moment and rushed to make it happen.
Having said that, I don't believe it will do well with the voters, but at least it was fun creating the Santa hat and putting the set together.
I'll post a photo of the light tent and everything after the voting is over.

LOL! Too funny. I'm not wild about the background... I think nothing or maybe a tree or something filling the background would be better... Still it's an 8.
This has all the signs of someone who spent an hour walking around the house and office looking at every item in a different way to usual.... well spotted with this one... 8
Awesome shot and idea! The little dude looks very shifty... almost as if he hates the fact he has the hat on and is hoping no-one will notice! Love it!
